Hurricane Danny makin' it wet ...

Another weekend of uneven weather down the Jersey shore ...

FRIDAY NIGHT I was supposed to be at Bikini Beach, but with Hurricane Danny approaching, the rain put a damper on things. I stayed local and had a few drinks at Santucci's in Northeast Philly. Good food, great bartenders there.

On Saturday, I was asked to DJ at Bikini Beach for the afternoon shift (1pm-5pm), but once again the weather had a different idea of how the day should go. So, Bally's moved me inside to Blue Martini for the afternoon.

After finished there, I packed up my gear and headed to FIRESIDE in Ambler from 10pm-2am. It was a great night there! Nice sized crowd that was nice and tipsy. Always fun to play for that type of crowd. Dancefloor was full most of the night, and my buddies Anna and Kate were there early (woo hoo!).

And then of course ... RECOVERY SUNDAY @ Bikini Beach Bar. I gotta say, I am going to miss it when the season is over. Just a few more weeks left for Bikini Beach (it will be closing for the season on Sept 13th).

The weather was gorgeous on Sunday ... maybe a little hot, but still a great day to be outside. The crowd was a little lighter than usual, and most of the people were hanging out and enjoying the view and the music. There was one group of party people (didn't get their names) who fully enjoyed the afternoon (I posted a picture, above). Fun stuff.

And I just want to say THANK YOU to Bally's & Wired 96.5 for adding my name to the ad that is now running on Wired 96.5 ... It was a bit unexpected, but very very cool. Thanks again.

This coming weekend is Labor Day weekend, and here's the schedule:

Great GREAT weekend!!!

Wow, this weekend was GREAT!!!

Friday night I was @ Bikini Beach Bar for Danny Bonaduce's 50th Birthday party. It was bananas! Great party, lots of people, and lots of fun. As you can see from the picture above, Danny jumped into the crowd after he blew out the candles on his cake and then crowd surfed half way through the club. lol. Oh, and having a Playboy playmate (Shannon James) jump out of a cake for you is always a good time. lol. FOSTERCHILD was the band for the night, and they ROCKED!!! I will be posting a slideshow of the pics up here soon. Of course, I will be posting videos too. ;-)

Saturday I was with JONELLE for an appearance that she had in Staten Island to support the upcoming concert on 8/22. She rocked the crowd (as always), and it was a good time.

Sunday I was back at Bikini Beach Bar. And MAN was it hot and humid!!! Had fun (as always) with the Wired 96.5 crew (JC was there this week, hosting), met some new people and took some pics of Jackie Blaze (of course, lol).

This coming week:

FRIDAY - Blue Martini (Atlantic City, 10p-2a)
SATURDAY - College of Staten Island w/ Jonelle (7p)
SUNDAY - Off (Jimmy Buffet is taking over Bikini Beach this weekend so I have the day off ... will probably be working on Club Mix 9 to have it ready for Labor Day weekend)

Update

I skipped a week posting. lol. Mostly because the weather has been toying with me at Bikini Beach Bar.

This past weekend was good. Friday night I was at Blue Martini, and had a good night. There were a few birthday parties, and a bridal shower there which always makes things fun. lol.

Saturday night I was at Fireside in Ambler. A fun night there, as usual. Crowd was a little lighter than usual ... but my buddies Anna and Kate surprised me by stopping up and buying me a mystery shot (Ashley's raspberry lemonade shot, I think). They rock!

Sunday I was at Bikini Beach Bar. The weather was shaky, so there was a late start there (1:30 pm) ... and I don't know what happened, but I wound up being very nauseous and very dizzy during my shift. I actually got sick a few times (ewwww). I suspect that I might have been something that I ate. That's the thing with DJing ... you have to keep on going no matter what. The music can't stop. lol. It was an interesting day.

No videos or pictures this week, but I plan on having some next weekend.

There's something else in the works too, but I don't want to "jinx" it by posting it here. But if it comes through, I will be a very happy DJ. :-) Keep your fingers crossed for me!
